HTC One S tentatively dated for T-Mobile
The leak mid-Thursday. An online document from TmoNews has the One S appearing on April 22. The Sunday release is unusual, and could just refer to availability starting that coming week, but suggested T-Mobile might be the first with an HTC One series in the country.
AT&T hasn't put a date on its One X adaptation, but its sister the Evo One for Sprint may not come until June 6, more than a month after T-Mobile's phone. They suggest that technical matters such as LTE testing or the more advanced design of the One X might have kept the higher-end AT&T and Sprint phones back where the HSPA+ One S had a quicker path.
The One S on T-Mobile should be extremely close to the international version save for its using the 1,700MHz band T-Mobile needs for 3G. All versions have a 4.3-inch, 540x960 display, an eight-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. Android 4.0 and the minimalist Sense 4.0 layer will be common as well, although T-Mobile is expected to preload some of its own apps.
