HTC One series starts off in mainland Europe

HTC on Thursday set out the first launches of the One X, One S, and One V outside of Taiwan. Austria, Germany, and Switzerland will all get the Android 4.0 centerpiece phones on April 2. Prices for the One X, One S, and One V will come in at 599 euros (719 Swiss francs), 499 euros (599 francs), and 299 euros (349 francs).

Carriers like O2 Germany should also offer versions discounted with a plan, although their deals haven't been outlined so far.

All three have unibody designs that both toughens them up and helps set a new design language, along with a greatly stripped-back Sense 4.0 custom interface that's focused on improving speed and reducing clutter versus older versions. At the top, the One X has a 4.7-inch, 720p screen, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and both eight-megapixel back and 1.3-megapixel front cameras. The One S is still relatively advanced with a 4.3-inch, 540x960 display and a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4, a eight-megapixel back camera and a VGA front camera. One V users get a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon, a 3.7-inch, 480x800 display, a five-megapixel rear camera, and no front camera.

All three are expected to reach the US in the near future. The first should be the One X, which should arrive as the Jet through Sprint's April 4 event and later on through AT&T. The One S is already confirmed for T-Mobile, and the One V would appropriately reach Virgin Mobile, based on leaks. [via The Unwired]
