Complements the Apple Smart Cover

Accessory maker SwitchEasy has announced an updated CoverBuddy, a back-cover complement to the Apple Smart Cover for the iPad. The unit is a shock-proof case made out of polycarbonate available in matching colors to the Apple Smart Cover. The colored models feature a rubber coating, while the clear model offers a scratch-resistant UV coating for better durability. The case is custom-designed to fit both the thinner 2011 iPad as well as the newer 2012 iPad.

The back cover leaves all ports, cameras and buttons accessible but includes two sets of connector protector covers. The unit comes in 11 colors designed to match the Apple front-cover lineup, which is of course sold separately. It is available now and sells for $25.
