Spotify plans to solve longstanding Android flaws

Spotify is planning to resolve some longstanding flaws with its Android app, leaks uncovered Tuesday. The "major" update identified by The Verge didn't have elaborate details, although it would possibly tackle widescale crashing and other flaws. Android 4.0 isn't officially supported and has had the most problems.

The company hasn't officially confirmed than an update was underway.

Platform diversity has been a cornerstone of Spotify, which lets Premium subscribers listen in on iPhones, Symbian devices, and more recently BlackBerrys as well as Windows Phones. The Android app has drawn criticism to Spotify for a lack of updates, however, as it hasn't been touched since November where iOS and others have been more actively supported.
