Possible Evo 3D sequel pops up in HTC's Evo 4G LTE video

Evo 3D 2 may have been spotted in advance

HTC has posted a promo video (below) for the Evo 4G LTE that may have inadvertently given away HTC's plans for a sequel to the Evo 3D. While showing a series of prototypes' backs, a phone with twin cameras and matching flashes is shown at around the 23-second mark. Its look is virtually identical to that of the Evo 4G LTE next to it, suggesting that the two Android phones have at least had a parallel development track.

Whether or not it's a production model isn't certain. It may have been a candidate discarded late into its development, or even an early prototype shell that was quickly dropped. Sprint has had more than one Evo model in its lineup at the same time, but never more than one current flagship device.

HTC hasn't commented on the dispute over the video, nor has Sprint. The video has remained active despite the leak. [via The Verge]
