Nokia Lumia 710 gets its own big push
Nokia has matched its Lumia 900 blitz with efforts to fuel the Lumia 710's sales as well. T-Mobile is now offering the Windows Phone for free instead of its usual $50-plus on contract. The deal lasts until at least April 17, although it will typically need a mail-in rebate.
Simultaneously, Nokia's own free color cover promo is extending. American Lumia 710 owners now have until the end of April to ask for a free back cover in one of the available colors, such as cyan, pink, white, or yellow. The deal only requires including the phone's IMEI along with the usual shipping information, and anyone who has bought a 710 since it launched on T-Mobile qualifies.
The 710 has the same 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor as the Lumia 900 and mostly keeps costs down through the 3.7-inch LCD, five-megapixel camera, and lack of a front camera. Being on T-Mobile denies it LTE, although it does have support for the carrier's HSPA+ network.
