Netflix updates Windows Phone app for new regions

Netflix on Wednesday released an updated Windows Phone app (free, Windows Phone Marketplace). Among more detailed improvements, Windows Phone owners in Latin America, Ireland, and the UK can now access the streaming movie service. Users will also get the newfound option to watch the shows in their local audio and/or subtitle language.

General performance improvements have been made in the update. Like in other versions of the app for different mobile operating systems, the user will get personalized suggestions for content they should watch next.

The service costs $8 per month in the US, where it's been available for the Windows Phone platform since late in 2010.
