Unclear if ICS phone will carry droid branding

A rendering and press photos of what may turn out to be Verizon's second smartphone shipped with Android 4.0 has surfaced. An image of the HTC Incredible 4G has been posted by Pocketnow, while photos have emerged at Android Police. Rumors of the phone, known also as the HTC Droid Incredible 4G and HTC Fireball, first appeared in February.

The Incredible 4G is expected to enter the market at a mid-range price-point, well below the $300 top of the line Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It is is believed to carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz dual-core processor with Adreno 225 graphics. The four-inch, 960x540 display returns to AMOLED and puts it squarely behind the 720p resolution commonly being offered in many mid-to-high range handsets today. The rear camera is still an eight-megapixel example, however, and it should have a VGA camera. The HTC phone may hit Verizon's shelves as early as the end of this month.
