Eluga available in Germany now with UK April 24

The Panasonic Eluga is now on sale in Germany, with the UK receiving it on April 24. Amazon.de shows the first smartphone outside of Japan from the manufacturer as available for €406 ($531) unlocked, and in the UK at around £390 ($618).

The Eluga packs a 4.3-inch OLED display, NFC, and was found to be one of the lighter smartphones at Mobile World Congress, but the more attractive aspects are its use as a remote control for Panasonic TVs and being dust- and waterproof with IP57 certification. It was tested to a depth of almost five feet and left underwater for half an hour without suffering any damage.

There is currently no word on whether the Eluga will reach the US.
