HTC Golf to be known as Wildfire C when it ships
The first look at the entry-level HTC handset known as the Golf has now been offered by PocketNow. The render shows a small device that looks like a shorter, stouter version of the One X. The Android 4.0 phone will likely be called the Wildfire C when it launches later this spring. Its rear three-megapixel camera should be complemented by a front-facing one of unknown resolution, which is uncommon for the price point it's expected to come in at.
The handset is otherwise billed to sport a processor with a clock speed slower than 1GHz and sport just 4GB of onboard storage. Users will have the option of expanding it thanks to the microSD memory card slot, however, or the bundled 25GB of DropBox cloud storage that should be bundled with it. There will otherwise be 512MB of RAM onboard, a Wi-Fi radio, and Bluetooth 3.0. The touchscreen is to be a 3.5-inch unit with a 480x320 resolution.
Prices or ship dates for this handset remain unknown.
