Windows Phone gets 7digital music store

UK-based music download service 7digital has launched its Windows Phone app (free, Marketplace), joining existing iPhone, Blackberry, and Android versions. The app brings 7digital's catalog of 18 million tracks to Windows Phone, including recordings from the main four record companies and many others.

The panorama style UI of Windows Phone is used throughout, with Live Tile integration allowing users to pin music selections to the start screen. Previously bought DRM-free music can be synced with the 7digital cloud storage, something the two million existing active mobile users are already using on other platforms.

The 7Digital Windows Phone app is available to users in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.
