HP dm1 gets fashion designer treatment

HP has ended a lull in its love of fashion-inspired PCs with the quiet introduction of a special Pavilion dm1 by Alexandre Herchcovitch. The variant on HP's crossover 11.6-inch notebook is covered inside and out by a gold pattern from its namesake Brazilian fashion designer. A matching sleeve case should keep the notebook safe.

Inside, the dm1 is using AMD's Fusion-based 1.65GHz E-450 chip to give it reasonably powerful graphics without driving up the cost. It should keep 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and the Beats Audio processing common to many of HP's higher-end notebooks.

Like the Vivienne Tam edition netbooks, the Herchcovitch dm1 will be available worldwide. In the US, it should cost $1,799 and will be available to buy before the end of April. [via Notebook Italia]
