Alienware M18X R2 gets processor options and SSD
Further leaks have surfaced about the Alienware M18X R2, with more information on the new notebook from the computer builder. Details from Dell-Lab this time cover processor, hard drive, and RAM options, along with a commentary on the screen quality.
Processors are listed as Ivy Bridge i7s at 2.3GHz, 2.6GHz, and 2.7GHz variants, with the choice between 2GB and 8GB of RAM at 1600MHz or 2GB at 1866MHz.
Storage options are said to include 7,200RPM drives at 500GB and 750GB capacities, with an assortment of SSDs available from 32GB up to 512GB.
The included screen said to be a glossy 18.4-inch Full HD White LED LCD, with comments about it not being an RGB-LED and an admission the company will not be competing with the new iPad's 2048x1536 display.
