Epson to add 720p, 3LCD home theater projector

Epson on Tuesday added the PowerLite Home Cinema 710HD to its lineup of 3LCD home theater projectors. It offers 720p resolution at screen sizes of up to 120 inches. It can produce 2,800 lumens of brightness, and users have a choice of four pre-set color modes to pair the projector with various viewing environments.

It connects to home theater gear thanks to its HDMI input, and gets a USB 2.0 connection for quickly sharing movies and photos. Component and S-Video inputs round out the ports. A game mode allows for its use even in bright rooms. The projector has a 1.2x optical zoom and a 30-degree range of vertical keystone correction. The lamp is rated at up to 5,000 hours of life.

The projector ships later in April for $650.
