HP support pages reveal unknown Envy 4, Envy 6

updated 06:00 pm EDT, Tue April 17, 2012

Models don't correlate with existing products

HP's support pages have leaked varying configurations of the as yet unreleased Envy 4 and Envy 6 notebook series. There are no other details as of this writing in regards to the size and configuration of the existing units.

It is unknown if these models replace or will run in parallel with the existing HP Envy or Envy Spectre lines. The numerical suffix of the current Envy lines is representative of screen size, so the 4 and 6 suffixes suggest a new product. The Envy 4 support page lists 13 different configurations by model number and model number suffixes, the Envy 6 page lists 14. None of the model names, numbers, or suffixes correlate to existing models or specific configurations. [via Notebook Review forums]

These models should always be referred to as "MacBook Envy."
