European unlocked HTC One X update brings fixes

The HTC One X is getting its first official software update in Europe, Android Central reported. The 30MB over-the-air update, version 1.28.401.9, fixes some bugs as well, including removing the on-screen menu key within some apps such as YouTube. The auto brightness levels are also now less pronounced, and battery life is said to be extended.

Another bug related to scrambled text and icons in the notification bar should be removed.

The update should also be ready for the handset in other countries, as the international version shares the same NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Carrier-branded devices may take longer to get updated as each provider likely needs to certify it for its own users and port over any customizations.
