Logitech launches iPad Ultrathin Keyboard Cover

Logitech has taken the wraps off its new Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the new iPad and the iPad 2. The device is touted as an all-in-one solution that offers an ultrathin screen protector and built-in keyboard. The cover utilises aluminium in its construction to help keep weight down and includes a stand to hold the iPad at a suitable angle for typing over a Bluetooth connection.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, like Apple’s Smart Cover, uses the iPad’s built-in magnets to attach the cover with its magnetic clip. It also has an instant on/off function automatically waking the iPad from sleep when the cover is opened and turns the display off when closed.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is available now for $100 throughout the US and Europe.

    Huh?

Logitech make some good stuff but they must have had a stroke or something when designing this thing. It attaches hinge-like as a cover but you have to unattach it and slot the iPad into it for keyboard usage. It is not like other case-cover-keyboard accessories that turn your iPad into a mini-me laptop.
