Previous leaks detail specifications of new phone

The year-old HTC Incredible 2 phone is currently unavailable for purchase on Verizon's web store. While the inference is that the phone will return, as it is listed as "temporarily unavailable," previous leaks suggest an imminent release of the Incredible 4G phone, which has been previously seen listed on Verizon's internal databases.

Leaks earlier this year that were confirmed this month suggest that the new version of the Incredible phone, formerly known as the HTC Fireball, would include a four inch AMOLED qHD display, use LTE-based 4G connectivity, a dual core 1.2 Snapdragon S4 processor, one gigabyte of RAM, eight gigabytes of on onboard storage expandable by SD card, Android 4.0.3 with Sense 4.0, and a new case design. The rear camera is expected to remain at eight megapixels with a front VGA camera.

Given the specifications as revealed, the phone is positioned not as a top of the line product but rather a midrange phone. Market placement would be similar to the iPhone 4. [via Droid Life]
