ASUS ships 9.2.1.21 update for Transformer TF101

ASUS has just announced it has begun updating the original Eee Pad Transformer TF101 tablet to the latest version of the Android 4.0 update. It supersedes the global 9.2.1.11 update from late in February and carries the 9.2.1.21 firmware number. It brings with it support for Wi-Fi Direct, lets users unzip files in the File Manager, and adds a restore tab function in the browser.

Otherwise promised in the update are improvements to the stability of the system and e-mail, which we take to mean less crashes. MyLibrary will also be less prone to crashing after the latest software is updated, and the AppBackup App is said to be improved, though details as to how exactly aren't being revealed.

The previous, February update reportedly brought with it seemingly more problems than it addressed, with automatic reboots every couple of hours and an occasional failure to reboot.
