Mitsubishi releasing two screens with phone views

Mitsubishi Electric Japan has said it will release two Diamondcrysta WIDE monitors in the near future. Both the RDT234WX-S and RDT234WX are 23-inch, 1920x1080 screens that are able to take video from a smartphone through a HDMI connection.

The LED-backlit IPS panel has a 3.5ms response time with a viewing angle of 177 degrees and an 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Both monitors have two HDMI ports, one DVI-D, one D-SUB and D Digital (Japan specific connection) and can use Mitsubishi’s GigaClear Engine II to show borderless output from iOS or Android devices. The screens differ only by the fact that one has anti-glare and the other does not.

Mitsubishi aim to release the RTD234WX with a matte screen on May 18, with the other a month later on June 15 and no word on global release. [via Akihabara News]
