CTL commences preorders of L7 Studybook tablet

Ruggedized design intended for education

As part of the Intel Learning Series initiative, CTL introduced the 2go Studybook L7 tablet on April 23rd. The Windows 7 version is available for preorder now, with the Android version orders starting in June. Low end configurations will ultimately start at less than $300, but initial preorder configurations begin at $469.

The 2go Studybook L7 features a seven-inch, 1024x600 capacitive touchscreen, six hours of battery life, an Intel Atom z650 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a USB 2.0 port, a microSD slot, and audio out in the low end configuration. Configurable options include 3G, mini-HDMI, and Bluetooth. A ruggedized case is designed to withstand a drop from 2.3 feet according to the reference design, and is water resistant.

The Intel Learning Series is a program designed for one-on-one electronic learning solutions in classrooms worldwide. It includes reference designs and infrastructure, including hardware and software solutions implemented by local vendors to meet the needs of various localities and all education levels from kindergarten through higher education. The 2go Studybook is based on the reference design of the Intel Studybook, designed and announced through the Intel Learning Series program.
