Samsung i9300 shows heavy disguises

A briefly available posting (since pulled) has given a closer look at the i9300, which may be the Galaxy S III. The physical design appears to be using the rumored disguises for Samsung's extreme secrecy, including a physical home button that likely won't persist and a bulkier, plainer design. The software layout may have changed since the older prototype: it would have four on-screen navigation buttons, including an oversized menu button.

Little is given away about what's inside other than Android 4.0. Other clues have pointed to a quad-core Exynos 4412, a 4.6- or 4.7-inch, 720p display, and either an eight- or 12-megapixel back camera. It may have on-chip 4G LTE and get the battery savings that go along with the consolidation.

Samsung officially unveils the finished design on May 3 in London at an event Electronista plans to attend. It may ship soon after as UK carriers like Vodafone and O2 have already committed to carrying the smartphone. [via The Verge]
