Websites get option to share directly to Google
Google debuted a new Share button on Tuesday, allowing sites to give users the option to post content directly from a site to a user's Google+ account. The move brings Google's social networking site in further alignment with the capabilities of its chief rival, Facebook.
The new Google+ Share button will function as a compliment to the Google +1 button, which already allows users to share on their Google+ accounts the news of their reading and liking something on the Web. The +1 button also recently received a redesign.
Over the last few months, Google has rolled out a number of new features and design changes for its social network, always with the aim of increasing its relevance and moving it out of the large shadow cast by Facebook.
