DirecTV app gets live streaming on Android

App update brings streaming, social features
Today's update to the official DirecTV Android app enables subscribers to stream content to enabled devices. The update also adds social networking aspects to the service, allowing users to find out what shows are popular.
The app now features a "Watch on Phone" tab, which will take users to streamable content. The update brings the Android version of DirecTV's app in line with the capabilities of the iOS version, which was updated to allow streaming over 3G and 4G networks in March.
