Maingear Pulse 11 due in June for $1,100
Maingear just took the wraps off an upcoming 11.6-inch notebook, the Pulse 11. According to Engadget, the small computer will be powered by the latest Ivy Bridge CPUs, with the standard model getting a Core i5 of unspecified clock speed. There is also support for up to 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GT650M GPU with 2GB of dedicated RAM is an option.
For less complicated tasks, Intel's GMA HD GPU is used. The display has a 1366x768 resolution and sports LED backlighting, matching that of the late Alienware M11x. Connections include HDMI 1.4a and USB 3.0. THX TruStudio Pro-certified sound is onboard.
The notebook is said to ship on June 3, priced at $1,100 and with 8GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.
