Rayman Legends trailer shows Wii-U touch controls

A trailer for Rayman Legends has leaked online, showing what appears to be touch controls and NFC capabilities of the Wii U. The trailer has since been said by Ubisoft to not be a representation of the final game, nor the Nintendo console.

The leaked video originally appeared on Gamekult and towards the end shows actors placing specific objects onto the screen. A Rabbid figurine placed onto the screen triggers the in-game appearance of the character, with the use of an Ezio Auditore model from the Assassin's Creed series for similar purposes being strongly hinted at before the video cuts away.

A statement, made to VG24/7 by Ubisoft reads: “An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet,” said the firm. “This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits.”
