Sprint promises fix may come next week

Sprint subscribers are sounding off in the company's support forums, reporting that their 3G support for the Galaxy Nexus isn't working. The Wi-Fi radio continues to operate perfectly, however. One user, who provided the screenshot below, said the network state on his smartphone is 'Connecting,' while showing EVDO Revision A as available.

The network state will change to Connected intermittently, but this lasts only seconds. This seems to occur independently of signal strength as well. Experimenting with options in the Mobile Networks screens didn't help either.

Sprint did acknowledge these issues, saying a software update is on the way to address the problem. A vague release of next week was mentioned, indicating the data network flaws may last until then. The issues are likely related to the carrier's rollout of its 4G LTE network. [via AndroidPolice]
