Dell’s Ivy Bridge upgrades continue to roll out with a Special Edition version of its Inspiron 15R surfacing on the company’s Australian website. The revised notebook is loaded with an Intel third-generation Core i7 ‘Ivy Bridge’ processor, specifically the i7-3612QM clocked at 2.10GHz wedded to an HM77 chipset. It also comes with an optional 15.6-inch 1080p display and a discrete AMD Radeon HD 7730M GPU with 2GB of VRAM. The namesake feature is its anodized aluminum Stealth Black honeycomb finish.

Three variants are listed on Dell’s Australian website. The entry-level model comes with 6GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM (1x2GB + 1x4GB) and centers on a lower resolution 720p display (1366x768). Like its two siblings, it sports Waves MaxxAudio 4.0, SkullCandy speakers and can be configured with a hard drive up to 1TB. It gets a standard DVD burners while the more expensive versions come with Blu-ray drives either combo or re-writable. A 6-cell battery is standard.

The new Dell Inspiron 15R range starts from $899, $1099 and $1199. Its appearance in the South East Asian region on Dell’s websites suggest that a North American release is imminent.
