Meet Homeplug AV networking spec, available now

TP-Link detailed the new AV200 Mini Powerlink Adapter starter kit. With one button 128-bit AES encryption synchronization to a paired device, the AV200 turns a single spur of household electrical cabling of up to 300 meters into an encrypted network connection capable of 200Mbps.

The new AV200 adapter kit is HomePlug AV standard-compliant, features a new ultra-compact design, plug-and-play with existing ethernet network topography, supports IGMP managed IP transmission optimizing IPTV streaming, and has a power-saving mode automatically reducing power consumption by up to 35 percent.

The new AV200 Powerline network adapter kit is available now for a MSRP of $55 at Fry's Electroics, MicroCenter, Newegg, Amazon, Tiger Direct, and Walmart.
