Screen protector backs claims of 4.8-inch screen

When the Samsung Galaxy S III arrives, which is rumored to be sometime later this month, it will be available in blue and white colors, GSMArena found out. A tip from UK retailer Carphone Warehouse that included an inventory screen showing the handset will be available in the two colors. It should be noted that North America may get different color choices, with the common black color likely to arrive on our shores.

If the blue is the same as the dark color on some Galaxy Notes, however, it is very nearly black, however, as only some angles and lighting conditions show the hue. The color is described as carbon blue, however, so that is the same name for both devices.

At the same time, China's Unwire HK showed off a screen protector sticker from Ultimate Screen Guard (USG) for the Galaxy S III, giving us an idea of its screen size. While it didn't get the actual handset, it put the sticker over the screens of the 4.7-inch HTC One X, 4.3-inch Galaxy S II, and 4.5-inch Galaxy S II LTE. It's slightly larger than the One X and significantly bigger than the other two, supporting reports of the Galaxy S III getting a 4.8-inch screen.
