LG flagship handset sports Android 4.0

LG has announced that its Optimus L7 handset is now available in the United Kingdom. The budget smartphone, unveiled at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, arrives running Android 4.0.

The L7 features a 4.3-inch 480x800 IPS touchscreen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal storage, and 1GB of RAM. Its five-megapixel camera is capable of 1080p video capture, while a front-facing camera enables video chat.

Electronista's hands-on with the L7 earlier this year left us less than stunned with the device, as the processor felt inadequate and the phone tended to stutter; though these concerns may well have been addressed in further optimizations of the handset before release. The L7 is available from Phones4u, which is selling only the white model. [via The Inquirer]
