Wii U launch list leaks: Mario, Pikmin, Assassin's Creed

Amid the rumors and speculation surrounding Nintendo's forthcoming Wii U console, leaked screens from Blockbuster UK purport to show the 25 games likely to accompany the Wii U when the system launches later this year. The supposed lineup shows a range of offerings, from party games, to fitness titles and big franchises appearing for the first time on a Nintendo system.

The leaked screens supposedly show a Blockbuster point of sale terminal, and it is unknown whether the games listed will be available on launch day or within the launch window of the console. The list includes New Super Mario Brothers Mii, Rabbids Party Land, and a new iteration of Nintendo's Pikmin series. Also listed are major third-party titles such as Darksiders II, Dirt 3, and Ninja Gaiden 3.

The exact accuracy of the list is unknown, but the titles listed do appear largely in keeping with expectations for the console's launch. In the run-up to the console's release, Nintendo has been gradually releasing information on the device's title selection and capabilities, revealing in January that the Wii U would have NFC support and hinting later at the possibility of the console as a via GoNintendo]
