Color app partners with Verizon, will ship on 4G phones

The Color app which isn't a stranger to reinventing itself has now partnered up with Verizon. In this new iteration, which will see the app come preloaded on some of Verizon's Android LTE smartphones, users will get the ability to stream what they're recording live and in HD, while simultaneously saving a local copy. Verizon customers will also have an exclusive feature that allows adding sound to the recording.

The free app will get the updates sometime before year's end, with the goal of enabling capturing high-resolution still images from the 720p feed as well. Other than notifying users that a live stream was started through Facebook, Twitter integration is also coming

The app will be optimized for each 4G LTE handset that Verizon offers for the best performance.

The current, cross-platform app will continue to be updated as well.
