Ematic eGlide XL Pro 2 with Android 4.0 now shipping, priced at $220

Budget electronics maker Ematic has just detailed specs of a new 10-inch Android-powered tablet, the eGlide XL Pro 2. It shares many of the hardware specs with the smaller 7-inch eGlide Prism introduced in mid-April. It runs on Android 4.0 as well and sports a 1GHz CPU and 400MHz GPU, along with 1GB of RAM.

An HDMI output will allow users to play back 1080p movies on a compatible HDTV, and mirroring will let users game on the big screen as well. There is just 4GB of storage space onboard, but 5GB of cloud storage space is bundled with the device and a microSD memory card slot allows for expansion.

There is also a Wi-Fi radio onboard and a three-axis gyroscope and an accelerometer are built-in. There is a front camera and a voice recorder as well. The EDAN (Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator) is preloaded and allows for voice control, including dictating e-mails, text messages, and more.

The tablet retails for $220 and is now available at Amazon, Walmart and ShopNBC.com.
