Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle subsidized by 2 year contract
The previously speculated Xbox 360 bundle deal from Microsoft has been confirmed to exist. A voucher for the bundle has appeared on the Microsoft Store website, showing a 4GB Xbox 360 complete with Kinect for $99 and a two-year, $15-per-month Xbox Live Gold subscription.
The current price for an identical package is $300 for the hardware and two years of Gold for $120, making a total of $420. The total ownership cost of the contract bundle in the new offer stretches to $460, however it does have the advantage of being payable over a two-year period instead of being an up-front cost. People wanting to get out of the contract early could face an early termination fee of up to $250, decreasing over time.
Although the voucher seems to show it will work in a Microsoft store, there does not appear to be any word on if it will be available through other channels, or outside the US.
