Amped Wireless rolls out router with quarter-acre coverage

Amped claims industry's most powerful indoor router
Today Amped Wireless, which specializes in high-range wireless equipment, announced the availability of what it claims is the industry's most powerful indoor Wi-Fi option. The R20000G High Power Wireless-N Gigabit Dual Band Router boasts a Wi-Fi coverage area roughly the size of a major league baseball diamond.
With a 10,000 square foot coverage area, the R20000G features two 2.4GHz 600mW amplifiers, two 5GHz amplifiers, and two low-noise amplifiers, as well as two high-gain 5dBi detachable dual band antennas. The router also comes with a 620MHz internal processor, and is capable of simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual band 802.11n wireless transmission.
The R200000G also features five gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB2 port for local file sharing. The unit sells for $180 on Amped Wireless' site.
