Lenovo brings Ivy Bridge chips to ThinkPad lineup

New CPUs added to L, T, W and X series
Lenovo has introduced a range of revised ThinkPad notebooks, each equipped with Intel's latest Ivy Bridge processors. Aside from the 14-inch ThinkPad X1 Carbon—dubbed the "lightest 14-inch ultrabook in the industry"—the company also added new models to its L, T, W, and X series.
The X230 ultraportable focuses on travel, reaching a claimed 24 hours of battery life and utilizing a 12.5-inch display with 300-nit brightness. The X230t brings many of the same features, but as a convertible tablet that quickly switches to a tablet computer for touchscreen input.
The T series has been expanded with the 14-inch T430 and T430s, which are claimed to be configurable for up to 32.5 hours of battery life, while the T530 upgrades to a 15-inch HD display. All models in the series feature 4G connectivity, RapidCharge tech for fast boot times, and USB 3.0 ports.
The W530 also brings a 15-inch HD display, with a built-in color calibrator and support for up to four external displays. The L430 and L530 are entry-level ThinkPad models, bringing thinner builds than earlier models.
The X230 and X230T range in price between $1179 and $1479, while the T430 and T430s can be purchased for $879 or $1399, respectively, and the L-series models start at $879. The W530 workstation models jump to $1529 for a basic configuration. All models are expected to arrive early next month.
