Samsung Cares Android app brings information, troubleshooting abilities

Samsung has just released a new Android app called Cares (Google Play) that aims to improve the customer service experience. It will allow users to check out FAQs, How-To guides, tutorial videos, and troubleshoot issues with their Android 2.1 and newer Samsung devices. Not all devices are covered, however.

The app is also said to allow tracking of service status, though exactly how if the device is in the shop isn't made clear. If users can't find a solution to their problem in the app, there are links to connect with Samsung support staff through Facebook, Twitter, Live Chat, and other contact options.

Thus far, the comments on the app aren't very favorable.
