Droid X2, 3 not on list; stuck on Android 2.3

Motorola has updated its list of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) updates today. Eleven phones and tablets are scheduled to be updated to the new operating system between now and the end of the year. Two popular phones, the Droid X2 and Droid 3, won't see the upgrade to Android 4.0.

Rollouts for the Xoom Wi-Fi-only tablet began in January of this year. Three devices—the Razr, Razr Maxx, and Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi + 3G—will commence installations this quarter. Six other models—the Droid Xyboard 8.2, Droid Xyboard 10.1, Atrix 2, Atrix 4G, Droid 4, and Droid Bionic—will all get Android 4.0 in the third quarter of this year. The Photon 4G will have Ice Cream Sandwich availability in the fourth quarter.

The Droid X3 and Droid 3 will only receive bug fixes. Both phones have been available for less than a year.
