Latitude to include max 256GB SSD capacity

Dell is set to update its Latitude series, including an Ivy Bridge-equipped notebook, according to a rumor. Sources of Tweakers.net suggest the Latitude 6430u will be thinner than its predecessor, while bringing a choice between Intel's Core i3, i5, or i7 Ivy Bridge processors.

The new Latitude, recognizable by the 30 suffix instead of ending 20, is said to integrate a 14-inch 1366x768 screen and a 1.74-pound battery in a thinner 0.82-inch case. Aside from the new processors, prospective users can opt for up to 8GB of RAM and a maximum SSD size of 256GB. The battery, memory, and SSDs are all removable, with further extras including a fingerprint reader and smartcard reader.

Dell has not announced the 6430u, so pricing and future release dates remain unknown.
