Galaxy Appeal becomes first side-slider for AT&T's GoPhone offering

AT&T has just introduced a new smartphone for its GoPhone pre-paid offering, the Samsung Galaxy Appeal. The first side-slider for GoPhone sports a hardware QWERTY keyboard and a 4.3-inch, 480x320 touchscreen. It's powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm processor and Android 2.3.

Other specs include 512MB of RAM, a three-megapixel rear camera, 1.8GB of user accessible storage and a microSD memory card slot for expansion. The battery is rated at 1,300mAh. Green credentials include a construction that's 80 percent of recycled material.

The phone will arrive at Walmart stores on June 5, priced at $150, with AT&T stores getting it on July 15.
