Latest Google+ Android update brings Mobile Hotspots, more

Google has just began offering the latest version of its Google+ app for Android, version 2.6 (free, Google Play). The update includes a refreshed user interface and a better integration with the Hangout video chat feature. Dubbed Mobile Hangouts, video chats with up to nine friend can now be initiated while users are on the move.

A new home screen navigation ribbon has a dedicated Hangout button, so they could be launched anytime. A full-on ringer Hangout notification is a newly available option as well.

Like in the iOS update, the interface is also now richer and more vivid. It includes full-screen photos and animated transitions are there, as well as easier access to the +1 control. A navigation slider lets users swap between sections easier.

Users can also download photos directly from conversations and edit posts afterwards.
