Android tablet sales effort begins at GameStop chain

Friday, May 25 marked the first day of Android tablets available for sale at 1600 GameStop stores. The Samsing Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Transformer and Transformer Prime, and the Acer Iconia line are available bundled with "a hand-picked selection of free games, like Sonic CD and Riptide, the Kongregate Arcade gaming app and a free issue of Game Informer Digital." Prices range from $230 to $500.

Ahna O'Reilly cast as Christine Brennan in jOBS indie biopic

According to Variety, The Help actress Ahna O'Reilly has been cast as Chrisann Brennan in the indie flick jOBS. Brennan was an early girlfriend and the mother of Jobs' first child, Lisa. Broadway actor Josh Gad is reported to be playing Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the film, with Ashton Kutcher starring as Steve Jobs. The film is expected to be released later this year.

Turkish president Gül visits Cook at Apple HQ

According to the Anatolia News Agency, the President of Turkey, Abdullah Gül met with Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier this week. President Gül was visiting the United States to attempt to secure the 2020 Olympic Games, and took some time to visit several technology companies, including Google and Apple. Reportedly, Gül and Cook discussed an issue with Turkish character input on the iPad that Cook promised to fix, and a new "technology in education" project underway in Turkey.
