VIA ARTiGO A1200 uses 1GHz dual-core processor, requires RAM and storage

VIA, maker of small computer boards and mini PCs, has showed off its latest product, the fanless ARTiGO A1200 mini PC. It uses a dual-core 1GHz VIA Eden X2 processor and is a successor to the ARTiGO A1100 from 2010. The new mini PC is just under 1.2 inches tall.

It supports popular HD video formats thanks to hardware acceleration, and has HDMI and VGA outputs. Two displays can be connected and displayed at the same time, and independently of each other. Other connections include four USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet connections, two COM ports, and one CFast socket. Headphone and microphone ports are also integrated.

Buyers will need to supply their own RAM (up to 4GB is supported) and storage (a single 2.5-inch socket is present). The PC can run on either Windows 7 or Linux.
Pricing or ship dates for the device haven't been revealed. [via SlashGear]
