Windows 8 preview release available for download today?

An accidental blog post on the official Microsoft Hardware and Driver Developer blog may have inadvertently revealed the early release of the Windows 8 preview. The blog outlined availability for the preview with a "download here" hotlink for not only the preview, but also for a driver kit and the Visual Studio 2012 Release preview. No official response to the blog posting and subsequent retraction has been made by Microsoft representatives.
Microsoft sources have previously said that the preview would be available early in June. The Windows 8 preview and information cycle is a bit different than most Microsoft efforts, as it seems that an "under promise and over deliver" methodology has been adopted by the press team.
Several leaks of Windows 8 content have already surfaced. The developer preview information was recently discovered on various piracy-centric Chinese websites. Several sites exist with the sole purpose of distributing Windows 8 builds illicitly.
The complete official OS is expected to be released in October.
