Envy laptops also get upgrade to Radeon HD 7850M graphics
HP has quietly updated part of its Envy line of notebooks to use Intel Ivy Bridge processors. Specifically, the Envy 15, Envy 17, and Envy 17 3D have been upgraded to use Intel's third-generation Core technology, also featuring a boost in graphics power courtesy of the AMD Radeon HD 7850M.
Changes only appear to be CPU- and GPU-related, with price varying mostly based on processor choice. Adding a 2.5GHz Core i5-3210M to the Envy 15 pushes the price to $1,100, for instance, while moving to the 2.7Ghz Core i7-3820QM raises it another $500.
Both the Envy 17 and Envy 17 3D systems start at $1,250, and go up to $1,750 with the same processor scaling in effect. [via Engadget]
