Leaked photos on Chinese forum show motherboard
New photos have surfaced claiming to show Apple's next-generation MacBook Pro motherboards. Chinese forum WeiPhone show some images of a motherboard that looks similar to previous versions, with mentions made towards the specifications of the MacBook Pro revisions. There however does not appear to be any sign of a previously rumored Retina-based display joining the updated line.
The images appear to show the same form factor as the older models, with screw placements and general shape as previously used. Based on the images and the details also supplied in the forum post itself, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will have an Ivy Bridge-based processor at between 2.3GHz and 2.7GHz, and will take advantage of NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics with 1GB GDDR5 graphics memory also included.
WeiPhone has also generated other rumored details ahead of today's Apple event, including products being omitted from the iOS 6 launch.
