Storage Options doubles Android tablet lineup with 9.7-inch Scroll Elite, 8-inch Scroll Engage

UK-based Storage Options has added two new Android 4.0 tablets to its range. There is the 8-inch Scroll Engage and 9.7-inch Scroll Elite. Both get aluminum bodies and share 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processors and Mail-400 dual-core graphics processors. The larger Elite sports an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1024x768 resolution and 16GB of integrated storage, though a microSD memory card slot is also present.

A microHDMI port allows for outputting up to 1080p-quality video. Common to both is a rear, two-megapixel camera and a front, 0.3-megapixel camera. Wi-Fi, two microUSB ports, and a miniHDMI output are likewise accounted for in either model.

The 8-inch Engage also has 1024x768-pixel resolution. It makes do with 8GB of built-in memory, but a microSD memory card slot is there for adding more.

With these new additions, Storage Options now offers four Android-powered tablets. It introduced its first tablet nearly 18 months ago.

The tablets are now shipping at various online retailers, with the Scroll Elite priced at £200 (about $310) and the Engage £130 ($200).
