Samsung SGH-T699 slider appears bound for T-Mobile
A Samsung smartphone known only as SGH-T699 has shown up in leaked photos, and it appears bound for T-Mobile's network. The photos, obtained by TmoNews, show a handset with a 720p touchscreen that slides up in portrait mode to reveal a hardware QWERTY keyboard. Little else is known about the device's capabilities or spec sheet.
The phone shown in the photo features capacitive buttons in the style of other Android phones. The hardware keyboard is done in the "chiclet" style, with ample separation between keys. Sources indicate that it will feature a 5MP camera on rear and a front-facing camera of undetermined resolution, as well as an LED notification light. The unnamed slider is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor -- although it is unknown whether the chip is an S3 or S4 -- and to run Android 4.0.4 out of the box.
The SGH-T699 is said to have previously showed up on the same leaked inventory sheet that revealed the existence of a navy blue Galaxy Note, also said bound for T-Mobile. No other information on pricing or a release date is available.
