Android Jelly Bean-based Tablet set for July release

A leaked training document is claimed to show the final appearance of the rumored Google Nexus 7 tablet. Expected to be launched at the Google I/O Conference, the seven-inch Tegra 3 tablet is presented as a rendered image in files found by Gizmodo Australia, sporting a textured back and a prism-like background image that bears resemblance to the Galaxy Nexus wallpaper. The Asus Eee MeMO tablet is believed to be the starting point in the Android 4.1 tablet's design.

Accompanying details state that it will have a 1280x800 IPS display with a 178-degree viewing angle, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, and enough battery capacity for nine hours of use. Processing power is said to be supplied by a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor using 1GB of RAM, with graphics receiving a boost from a Nvidia GeForce 12-core GPU. Two versions are expected to be offered, one with 8GB of storage and an upgraded model with 16GB. NFC, Google Wallet and Android Beam are also said to be deeply integrated.

The document suggests the prices to be $200 and $250, respectively, and with the Australian release set for sometime in July. Global pricing and release dates were not given, however they are likely to be around the same time and costs.

Google has a history of giving particpiants of its I/O Conference a free gift, with attendees last year being offered a Samsung Chromebook. The company has yet to officially confirm a launch date or other details surrounding the rumored tablet, however.
